ISSN 2690-0009
An open access, peer-reviewed human genetics journal publishing research in clinical genetics, genomics and inherited disease.
About the Journal
The Journal of Human and Clinical Genetics is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal on the genetic basis of human disease and the wider role of genetics in medicine and biology. It serves researchers, clinicians, educators and allied professionals, with a particular emphasis on linking molecular findings to clinical care.
Topics include monogenic and polygenic disorders, biochemical genetics, dysmorphology, cancer genetics and genetic epidemiology; chromosome and genome structure, gene regulation, functional and computational genomics, genome-wide association studies and epigenetics; and clinical areas such as prenatal and postnatal diagnosis, pharmacogenetics and neurogenetics. The journal also covers cytogenetics, immunogenetics, behavioural and developmental genetics, stem cell research, gene editing and therapies for genetic disease.
Interdisciplinary work connecting genetics with evolutionary biology, anthropology and bioinformatics is welcome. The journal publishes original research, reviews and case studies.
All articles are peer reviewed, open access under CC BY 4.0 and assigned a DOI.
